What do you get when you cross conservatory-trained musicians with the mega-hits of the 80’s?

It’s the guilty pleasure of the masses. 80’s music. And while you may be a frequent flyer when it comes to 80’s night at your local bar, it’s a pretty sure bet that there was never a dobro involved.

Meet Love Canon.

What do you get when you cross conservatory-trained musicians with raucous bluegrass, and the mega-hits of the 80’s? Love Canon (spelled with one N intentionally). Think Rocky IV, Cindi Lauper, Whitesnake, and Dire Straits played with banjo, mandolin and high lonesome vocals. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will blind you with SCIENCE!!!

Love Canon is Jesse Harper (of acoustic supergroup Old School Freight Train), Darrell Muller (also of OSFT), Adam Larrabee (jazz guitar/banjo virtuoso), Andy Thacker (bluegrass mandolin phenom) and Zachariah Hickman (mustache of the north, bassist Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band). Love Canon is periodically joined by other geniuses/collaborators/acrobats, among them Jay Starling and fiddle phenom, Nate Leath.

Learn more about Love Canon (and how to book them) at Sam Hill Entertainment and download their re-vamped 80’s tunes here.

(And if you call Jay for booking, be sure to mention if you’d like him to bring Love Canon along as the band!)

Happy listening, ya’ll!
